a few random things

I spent the last week relaxing, reading, and catching up on some rest.  I even went to bed before 9pm one day.  On Friday I turned THIRTY which I found more exciting than scary.  It was a good week.
  • I did a little birthday shopping and really love the Bark and Branch and Catnap prints that I picked up.  I may need to buy more from these collections.
  • I started a new project after buying Quilt Improv last week.  It is a wonderful book and (in my opinion) the more inspirational quilting book I have seen in a while.  This is going to be a scrap quilt for my youngest sister and has been so much fun to work on.

beautiful fabric choices, hope you enjoyed your 3oth celebrations! I agree about Quilt Improv, its an inspirational book, Lu Summers is a clever lady, if you ever get the chance to do a class with her then do it, i did at the Fat Quarterly Retreat last year and she is a great teacher!

Happy 30! I find my 30's so much more "homey" and "just right" than I did my 20's. I hope you thoroughly enjoy yours!

Happy Birthday! I haven't found any birthday yet to be scary, though I'm only 6 ahead of you. Maybe 40 will scare me? Somehow I doubt it. I have my Easy Quilts and recognized your picture. Great pattern!
